Karate in the Realm of Personal Development

Some of you may have noticed that I have not been posting as regularly as usual this last week.  That is because I have been working on a very special project.  Today I am proud to introduce my very first e-book.

“Karate in the Realm of Personal Development”

Karate Book

Most people who start training in the martial arts believe that what they will learn is how to fight. True this is one benefit but, karate is so much more than that! This book is not meant to teach you the fighting aspects of the martial arts although you will learn a few things. The intention of this book is to teach you some of the life skills, disciplines, and mental principles I have extracted through years of training.

Congrats on your book, Priscilla! Just a suggestion… Is there a way you can give us a sneak peek of the book, like a free chapter?

Congrats again and good luck on your future endeavors!

    Saedel-

Thanks for the suggestion. I have added the preview to the buy page. So, now when you click buy now it will take you to the store front. Then click Karate in the Realm of Personal development. Scroll down to description and there will be a preview this button. Whew, it’s easier to do it than it is to type it.

    Congratulations Priscilla:

    Wishing you all the best.

  9. Daniel Sitter, Idea Seller:

Karate is an outstanding personal development strategy. In my several years of study in Shotokan Karate, I have witnessed both kids and adults make huge leaps in their confidence, personal assurance and determination. Many have become wonderful goal-setters and achievers, taking personal responsibility for their lives.

Bruce Lee’s “Tao of Jeet Kune Do” also provides many great examples of the life lessons to be learned through the martial arts.

Congratulations on your new book and your discovery of both the physical and mental benefits of Karate!

  10. priscilla:

Thanks Daniel! Yes, “Tao of Jeet Kune Do” is an excellent book. Then I have always love anything of Bruce Lee’s, I guess that makes me a bit biase.
