Alex Shalman’s Contest
Alex Shalman from Practical Personal Development is holding a contest , for the prize he is giving away a free Ipod Shuffle.
His reason in his own words is:
“There’s a lot of buzz going around the blogosphere right now, as people are proudly posting a great big list of personal development bloggers. I’m very impressed with this effort, and how people are passing along some genuinely good information onto their readers that I decided to reward them for their effort. I’m hosting a contest to give away one iPod shuffle.”
Alex is an excellent personal development blogger his site is worth checking out even without the contest, but for those of you who need an extra push now you’ve go one.
Check out the official rules here!

Priscilla thanks for the very kind comment. I’m a licensed social worker, so I should be all about boundaries, but I became caught up in blogging–was a reporter also and the interaction in blogging is intoxicating for the first several years
Now I’m very seriously writing a book, and find it difficult as it’s about the younger me who was bright but had many learning disabilities and other problems–not pimping it here just using it as an example
As I was leaving to go away I got several emails informing that I or my blog had been placed in this or that–not talking about your project which I really like–as personal development is paramount to me
All these things required my immediate attention and my time
I understand how bloggers get caught up in the excitement–I sure did–but I never said “it’s Friday afternoon, I’m putting a post of yours or…”
My hope is that bloggers will evolve and understand that bloggers have lives and living a happy positive energy life is more important than any single post
Sorry for the rant–I so love the concept of life coaches and dealing with the present. Writing this book makes me need an active social life to remember who I am now
I was reading through your blog and enjoyed it. Just can’t deal with diggit and stumble etc right now

Hello! I hope you are having a great weekend.
I’m going to be inviting the members of your List to participate in a writing series at my blog based on Desiderata. Of course, I wanted to let you know about it first!
Thank you so much for the List.
