Over Shoot Your Goals

I have always been a competitive person, and I usually win.  This is usually not because I am better than the other competitors.  It is usually because I focus higher.  Everyone has the ability to do the same.

Most people set there sight on a goal and work to achieve exactly that.  I set a goal, and plan to work twice as hard as I expect achievement to require.

It is human nature to achieve just under what they aim for.  If you want to earn $1000.00 this week and you usually earn $700.00, it is likely that if you aim for the $1000.00 you will actually earn around $900.00.  This is a great step but most of us feel like we have failed, instead of being proud of our improvement.

What I suggest is aim to make $2000.00 instead.  This will usually result in your earning between $1200.00 and $1600.00 depending on how aggressive you are.  You now have not only hit your mark but, you have exceeded it.

You may not always win by doing this, but you will drastically improve your results.  This technique works whether you are working on your personal goals, or playing basketball with friends.  Win or lose, you will definitely be a strong competitor.
