Unlimited Power

I am writing this post today in participation of Karen Lynch’s Seven Weeks to Seven Days one year birthday celebration for her blog Live the Power

Her challenge to bloggers is to write a post on “Unlimited Power” and what this means to you.  If you would like more information on this challenge and the awards she is offering for the top participants, I encourage you to click the Seven Day’s link above.

So here I go!!!

Many people would argue that it is impossible to have total control over their environment, and they would be correct.  You cannot have total control over your external world.  However, you do have “Unlimited Power”.  Let me explain.

Unlimited Power means having the power to control your mind, your body, and to make a difference in world.  We may not be able to control everything but, as long as we are conscious beings we have unlimited control over our minds.

This gives us the power to think, and as long as we can do that our possibilities are endless.  Thoughts themselves create power within the universe, that is why the “Law of Attraction” works.

Thoughts give us an infinite amount of choice.  We decide what attitude to take, how we are going to feel about a situation, what we are going to do about it, or if we are going to do anything at all.  If we decide to do something we have to decide how to do it.  Are you going to do it yourself, write about it, call on a friend, or hire someone?

Our actions create a ripple effect.  For example:  Let’s say you decide to give twenty dollars to a friend who is low on money.  That night he decides with that twenty dollars he is going to take his two young sons to McDonalds instead of eating at home.

On the way to McDonalds the man see’s a women on the side of the road with a flat tire.  He stops to help.  Then continues on his way.  He gets to McDonalds and after they eat the boys play in the fun house.

While he is waiting the man talks to a lady whose child is also playing.  These two adults may fall in love.  They may get married and have more kids.  Who knows?

The point is that twenty dollars could change is life.  Remember the woman he helped with the tire?  I bet you could write a senario like the one I just did on how that changed her life.

Every day we decisions (hundreds of them) that started as mere thoughts.  All of these decisions are followed with some sort of action.  Even if you do nothing you are still “doing something”.  Whatever we do (or don’t do) affects the world around us in some way.  Each of these affects have affects and on it goes.  This is why each of us has “Unlimited Power”.

In a perfect world everybody would know and understand this concept, making sure that each action has positive affects on everybody else.  Unfortunately people lose belief in their abilities but, whether you believe in your influence over others in this world or not you still have it.  You will still change the world.

It is up to you to decide how you are going to change your world.  The possibilities are endless.  Think well, act well, and live well.

    Great post…

This is the plain truth. We have forgotten just how every action we choose to take or not to take actually changes the world world we live in.

It’s funny how people are quick to laugh at such a statement as being over exaggerated or ridiculous. Maybe because for the majority of us, accepting that truth is too big a responsibility.

Once we have woken up there really is no excuse to go back to sleep, so to speak and we have to be accountable. Anyway it’s more fun knowing that every thing you think and do has power. You are then able to make much more empowering choices.

    Thanks.
    Rob
