Do You Feel Overwhelmed
Feeling overwhelmed is a sign that you are on the road to achieving success. When you live to get the most out of your life, you will feel overwhelmed. This is a natural consquence, and a wonderful one. If you feel overwhelmed it means you are growing, and on the way to the achievement of your goals.
Overwhelm is only felt when you face your fears and act anyway. Fear is present regardless of whether you take action or not.
I like to think of this as the difference between positive discomfort, and negative discomfort. Whether you are afraid or overwhelmed you will feel uncomfortable. Understanding this takes away the option of quitting to avoid discomfort, because you know that you will feel discomfort either way. Instead your choices now are:
1. Are you going to be frozen by your fear allowing it to hold you back?
or:
2. Are you going to face your fears and take action?
The price of non action can cost you your dreams, forcing you to settle for a life determined by others. On the other hand, taking action allows you the chance to live your dreams and achieve success.
The choice is yours. Make it count!!!

I guess then that is why I am not currently satisfied and I am not currently overwhelmed.

You’re right that inaction is one of the worst strategies. If I feel I’ve made a mistake in business, or I need to pass along important information and I keep forgetting, then my tendency has been to hide.
But when I work to try and stay on top of developments, then my fears subside.

Thanks for the comment, Don. The tendency to hide is normal but, like you said “fears subside” when you take control.
