You Are Good Enough

“No one can make you feel inferior without your consent” -Eleanor Roosevelt

Have you ever felt like you were are not good enough?  Most (if not all) of us have at some point in our lives.

This feeling can keep us from achieving our dreams.  It can cause us to give up too easily, or not try in the first place.  But, we do not have to accept this as our fate.

Each of us have special talents, abitilities, thoughts, and emotions.  These differences in personality are what makes us valueable.  If everybody was exactly the same, we would be severely limited as a whole.
Imperfections are part of being human. Nobody is perfect, and we all make mistakes.  What makes some more successful than others is how we deal with these imperfections and mistakes.  Those who master the skills of learning from mistakes, have a great advantage over those who do not.

There are many stratagies for overcoming the feeling of inferiority.  These are some of mine:

1-  Focus On The Positive-  We have a choice we can look for the good or we can look for the bad, The effort is the same either way.

2-  Deep Breathing-  Consciously control your breathing.  Breath deeply and slowly.  Imagine that with every breath you are taking in strength and power, then exhale and let go of fear, tension, and negativity.

3-  Posture-  Stand up tall, shoulders back, arms at your side, eyes forward, and relax.  Is this how you would stand if you knew there was no way to fail?  If not adjust.

4-  Move With Confidence-  Again, how would you move if you knew you could not fail?  Adjust.

5-  Speak Up-  When you talk speak so that others can hear you without extra effort.  If you don’t they may not listen.

6-  Try To Make Others Feel Comfortable-  If you are uncomfortable others are likely to feel the same way.  Treat them like they are guests in your home.  This helps take some of the focus off you and places it in a positive direction.  Plus, you may win some friends in the process.

7-  Don’t Take Yourself To Seriously-  Use humor, laughter is a great stress reliever.

8-  Be Easy on Yourself-  If you make a mistake, great!!!  That’s one less mistake you’ll have to make on your way to success.  Plus, you’ve learned something.

9-  Have Fun-  Life is an adventure.  Enjoy it.

Great life lessons. I like the way that you take a complex subject and break it down into several easy to follow steps.
