Keep Going

When I was a teenager my grandmother told me her secret for keeping an immaculate house.  She said “When you think you are done keep going.”  I looked at her and laughed.  If it had been anyone else I probably would have responded with “duhh!” or some equally smart remark.

Later that night as I finished straightening up my room I remembered what she said and decided to test the theory.  So I looked around and thought “What else could I do?”  Well I guess I could dust the vents, wipe off the walls, clean the windows, and while I’m at it those curtains haven’t been washed in a while.

An hour later I looked at my room and was amazed.  My room looked like a photograph in a magazine.  The little secret that my grandmother told me worked.  Humm… I guess teenagers don’t know everything after all.  Can somebody please explain that to my 16 year old?

Sometimes the tips that work the best are so obvious we just over look them.  The next time you are cleaning try it.  The awesome thing about this trick is: when you apply it regularly you actually spend less time cleaning than you did before.  Try it… See for yourself.
